 Did you have enough sleep last night?

 

B:  唔够，我昨晚瞓得唔够。

 No, I did not sleep enough last night.

A:  你昨日行得累吗？

 Were you exhausted of walking yesterday?

 

B:  累，我昨日行得好累。

 Yes, I was exhausted of walking yesterday.

A:  佢吃得多吗？

 Does s/he eat a lot?

 

B:  多，佢吃得好多。

 Yes, s/he eats a lot.

A:  佢学得几好样呀？

 How's he do in class (What's the state of  his learning)?

 

B:  佢学得好快。

 He's a quick learner (He learns fast).

 How does he do (in work)?

 

B:  佢做得好慢。

 He works slow.

A:  我想走啰，黄先生。

 I need to go, Mr. Wong.

 

B:  还坐下哟，李先生。

 Would you stay a little bit longer, Mr. Li?

 

A:  唔好啰，我走啰。

 I'm sorry, but I need to go now.

Reading Material

黄二昨晚瞓得好好，好够；今日朝头早佢起得好早，吃得好多。

Wong Ngee slept very well last night, and had enough sleep. He got up very early this morning and ate a lot.

佢返学，佢上堂；佢读中文，佢读得好勤力，学得好快；到班房，佢写中文字，佢写得好靓。佢系一个好好个学生。咛个先生系台山人，佢教得好好，讲得唔快唔慢，讲得好清楚，好明白；黄二好明白；咛个先生系一个好好个先生。黄二个朋友亦系学生，佢读得唔系几勤力，学得冇黄二该快；佢写中文字，写得冇黄二个该靓。

He goes to school, and attends classes. He reads Chinese. He reads very hard, and learns very fast. In the classroom, he writes Chinese characters, and he writes very well. He is an excellent student. That teacher is a Taishanese. He teaches very well, speaks neither fast nor slow, speaks very clearly, and is very easy to understand.  Wong Ngee understands him well. That teacher is a very good teacher. Wong Ngee's friend is a student also, and he does not study very hard. He does not learn as fast as Wong Ngee. He writes Chinese characters, but not as well as Wong Ngee.
该时黄二返屋企，佢行得好快；黄二个朋友行得冇黄二该快。

Wong Ngee is coming home now. He walks fast. Wong Ngee's friend does not as fast as Wong Ngee.
